Accessibility Statement

UA Construction wants everyone who visits this site, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, or speech input, to be able to read about our work and get in touch. This statement describes what we have done and how to tell us when something does not work.

Our Commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Those guidelines are the standard most commonly used to judge whether a website can be used comfortably with assistive technology.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a finished state. We review the site as we add pages and adjust what we find.

What We Have Done

  • Built the site with semantic headings, landmarks, and a logical reading order so screen readers can move through a page by structure.
  • Kept body copy and interface text at contrast levels intended to meet AA thresholds, including text set over photographs.
  • Made every menu, form field, and link operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
  • Added descriptive alternative text to project photographs so the imagery makes sense when it cannot be seen.
  • Avoided content that flashes, autoplays sound, or moves in a way that cannot be paused, and respected the operating system's reduced-motion preference.
  • Labeled form fields, grouped related inputs, and provided clear error messaging on the contact forms.

Known Limitations

Some parts of the site depend on services we do not control. Content embedded from social media or mapping platforms may not meet the same standard, and we cannot change how those embeds behave.

Photographs of completed projects carry short descriptions rather than full visual transcripts. If a detail in an image matters to you, contact us and we will describe it or send additional photos.

If we publish documents such as plan sets or specification sheets, some may be older files that were not built with accessibility in mind. We will provide the same information another way on request.

Tell Us About A Barrier

If something on this site is difficult or impossible to use, tell us what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what technology you were using. Email Info@uaconstructionky.com or call (859) 328-2849.

We will acknowledge the message, work to fix the problem or give you the information another way, and follow up when the change is made. You do not need to use the website at all to reach us: our phone number and mailing address are listed on every page.

Assessment And Compatibility

The site is checked with automated accessibility testing and manual review, including keyboard-only navigation and screen reader passes on current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.

This statement was prepared after an internal review and reflects the state of the site on the date shown above.
